Masters Swim Camp
August 8-10, 2023
Relax and Unwind...
Leave your car behind and come to Chebeague Island, Maine for a quintessential New England island summer experience. You'll stay at the historic oceanfront Chebeague Island Inn and spend your afternoons exploring the island, golfing, biking, hiking, kayaking, or just relaxing on the lawns reading a book. In the evenings you will enjoy delicious gourmet meals, including a lobster bake at the Inn.
...and get your swim workout!
After a leisurely breakfast, catch the shuttle bus or grab a bike to the pool each morning for a creative swim workout, designed to challenge masters swimmers of all levels. The workouts will focus on fitness and stroke technique and feedback. The camp will be led by Certified USMS Coach Mark Stori, Head Coach at Santa Barbara Masters and Assistant Coach at University of California, Santa Barbara's D1 Swim Program. Each day will offer a 30 minute dryland session and a 1-1.5 hours swim at the CRC pool. Open to 20 participants.
All for $250!
100% of your registration cost supports the Chebeague Recreation Center's Water Safety Instruction Programs and the 1st Annual Give a Swim Lesson Lobster Dinner.
You are responsible for all travel, accommodations, and meals not included in the camp. See below for more details.

Transportation to Portland, Maine
August in Maine is popular and flights to Portland are limited - so book early. An option is to fly to Boston and take the bus from the airport terminal to downtown Portland (approximately 1.5 hours).
Transportation from Portland to Chebeague Island via Fogg's Water Taxi
Once in Portland, take a taxi, Uber or Lyft to Commercial Street Dock to meet the water taxi. One way fare to Chandler's Cove on Chebeague Island is $85 for up to 6 people. The trip is about 30 minutes. We are arranging reservations for the swim camp at 3:30pm on Sunday, 8/7. For more information call 207-272-0490.
*We do not recommend renting a car in Portland. There are very few overnight parking options in the the city, and there is not bridge or auto ferry for transporting a car to Chebeague Island. If you have plans to explore other parts of Maine on your own, we recommend you arrange to pick up your rental car at the airport PWM before or after our planned events.
